Funding

• Tuition and associated fees for up to three years, subject to programme rules.
• A stipend for living and academic expenses.
• An annual travel allowance for one economy-class trip to and from Stanford.

Who can apply

• Citizens and residents of all countries may apply.
• Applicants must meet the requirements of their intended Stanford graduate programme.
• For the 2027 cohort, the first bachelor’s degree generally must have been earned in January 2020 or later, subject to the programme’s military-service extension.
• Applicants still completing their first degree must finish it before enrolling at Stanford.

Application process

Submit the Knight-Hennessy application by its deadline and a separate Stanford graduate programme application by the relevant programme deadline. Required materials include background information, a resume, essays, short responses, recommendation letters, transcripts, and a video statement.

Additional Details

Knight-Hennessy Scholars funds graduate study at Stanford University while providing a multidisciplinary leadership development programme through the King Global Leadership Program. Applicants apply separately to Knight-Hennessy Scholars and to an eligible Stanford graduate degree.
